September 20, 2014

This week was fairly uneventful, nothing super exciting and nothing awful. I will just say that I am really glad that lessons with Ian have started up again. Lessons, class, random little tasks he calls on us to perform such as making lesson schedules, emailing everyone with announcements, letting his colleagues into his studio, typing up recommendation letters, organizing studio parties and outings. It's like we're all part of a commune, everyone having their assigned duty.

I have a whole slough of pictures from the Mechanical Museum, a vintage arcade/amusement park place near Pier 39. I found more interesting and weird stuff there than I have anywhere else in SF so far. I was there this morning for my 800th cache, and of course I took some time to look around. I apologize for the substandard photo quality - the lighting was poor and the glass cases provided glare, but I hope you enjoy anyway.

That's the scariest massage chair I've ever seen.

This is not my reading, of course. Mine would obviously be "Uncontrollable".

The first ever rollercoaster: coal carts coming down from a mine on the mountaintop.

Shredded Wheat tastes like a doormat? How would they know?

This is not my reading either. I have always known that my true calling is to be a fish peddler.

Read this 6 times and the grammar still doesn't make sense
